What external factors have the biggest impact on your process?

[ADAM ROAD]

I think music would've been my ultimate answer a few years ago but over time I've come to realize the most external factors that drive the process forward is just through simply living life.

What was the first record or song that awoke your passion for music?

[ADAM ROAD]

Hm. I don't know. There's so many...I don't think it was a single record or a specific album. Music was a constant growing up. My dad had a nice setup: receiver + EQ, I don't know if it was anything special in terms of hi-fi but it was never off.

[ADMIN]

You've always had an interest in flying and aerospace, when did that begin?

[ADAM ROAD]

Star Wars 10000%. I saw Return of the Jedi in theaters when I was a kid and that was it. I think SW really opened my eyes in terms of creativity as well as flying. I had X-Wing in 99 on a a burnt disc my cousin (shoutout Raul) gave me. It's just always been cool to me.

Does [Enter the Matrix - PC] have a place in Computer Science programs for today's youth?

[ADAM ROAD]

Absolutely. The fact it's not in any curriculum really worries me.

[ADMIN]

Follow up - How can we better foster creativity in the next generation? Is there still room for them to explore?

[ADAM ROAD]

Yeah I think we as humans can't help but explore. Even in the digital space. And with AI. Who knows where we're going.

When people come to SEDR, as listeners or collaborators, how do you want them to feel?

[ADAM ROAD]

That this is made with love and an appreciation for sound and the people who spend their days digging for records and want to share with the world. That they've stumbled upon something human made. Thanks for listening <3
